Hello
My m8 has given me his tm5400 ci usb to try to sort out. Main problem seems to be slightly poor video quality on scart. I have both a humax 5400 and a manhattan dsr2500 to compare it to and it isnt very good or sharp for a new receiver, compared to either. I am comparing like for like, ie same scart lead, same lnb and same program.
Any ideas

I have hum 5300 and hum5100 which I used for years.

Putting the Tech 5400CI Spuer made no difference not the pic quality which is better than what I expected. This is thruogh scart on 42" plasma.

The only thing I can think of is may be the AV setup on your TV is slightly different than when you plugged your other receivers, so AV2 may be setup to be sharper than AV1 on your TV if you get what I mean.

must be a poor box or lead.
have a 5400ci+usb (non super)and its as good as any of my other recievers.
On a 46" samsung lcd you cannt fault it.
differing patches never seen a difference in quality yet, do on my linux based machine with images but they are different totally

Ill have another go with it at the wekend, but think it could be box as you say, the sticker on the bottom has been broken so its been opened before.

When you change from CVBS to RGB there should be a noticeable change in picture quality if not your TV setting s are wrong.
