Hard drive Advice ......

Can anyone recommend a make of hard drive for use with the dm 8000 as ive read on other boards that certain makes have problems getting set up etc , i was hoping to add a terrabyte hdd if possible !!

yes I had no problem at all setting it up, though its a pity that I was unable to get a 5400rpm drive.

for me, i have a few mybook500's hanging around not been used, so im going to crack one open and inject the hdd into the case of the dm8000

i ended up with the 1tb version of what gerry55 reccomended , initialised no probs, only thing is i cant work out how to delete my recordings in bh0.6 lol ...?

I`m using the latest Pli image, in that you press the pvr button scroll down to the file you want to delete then press the menu button, then press delete.

Today I wrote my first DVD using the rewriter I have installed in the 8000.

i just tried a WD 500 in the box, and it was a dud, so swapped it out, with a second wd500, and thats working a dream. using niblosat black hole 0.6 on the box. must say quite impressed so far

ill give that a go when i get home, ive got bh0.6, gemini 4.0 and pli jade 2 all installed via barry allen and still trying to make my mind up which i think is best !!

Im dying to stick a dvd drive in it but at the same time i want to hold off to see if they manage to get blu-ray sorted on it and stick one of them in instead !!
