Will a blind scan of a satellite pick up feeds automatically or is there something else to do? (and what will they show up as?)

will pick up most depending on receiver and video format most domestic receivers will not display 4.2.2 video but for 4.2.0 yes you can also set the s/r on some to scan low s/r only a detailed scan will take longer but more thorough

Yes M8 - chances are you have maybe over-used blind scan function and filled up all your transponder/channel memory - but the easiest, but most long winded action would be to delete as many of them to make space - much as you would with your PC if its memory was full?

There have been SO many posts on this subject, many blaming the TM6000 series - when in fact its their (the stb owners) fault for poor housekeeping by ALLOWING their scanning to overfill the stb memory!

One final point - I DO believe Technomate have to carry some responsibility for all this too by not building some protection for this into their software and provide some warnings that this is happening before the stb starts playing up and repeatedly rebooting?:respect-055:

The STB did come with SW version 6.55 (Aug 22 08) I have downloaded the 17-12-08 version.
I will try my first USB transfer (after the 16.00 football)
I havent filled the channel list yet.

Its not the channel list Holmroad is refering to but the amount of transponders you have saved . go through your sats individualy and just delete the dead transponders you can only store so many transponders

Just to add to what SAUS04 has said, you can also delete any Sat positions that you can not receive or do not use, you could also delete any Radio channels that you do not use.

hi holmroad when i got my techo 1500 the sat birds were already listed in the techomate,, it was just a question of doing a scan ( NOT BLIND SCAN) FOR WHAT I WANTED,,, FOR EXAMPLE HOTBIRD ASTRA 19.2 ETC...
ps!!!!!! i did notice today eurobird9 is NOT listed so hope those channels will appear on eut***** 10 that seems next to hotbird!!
