recording with a cam

cant seem to record a sat channel that uses a cam while i watch a cable channel.

i have to have the channel on so the cam can descramble the channel, post descramble doest help, im using the latest nlb image and a diablo cam.

any ideas?

I don't know about this image but it should be possible because the diablo decodes the satellite channel and mgcamd should decode the cable channels.
Check you keys in your softcam.key the changed on Friday.

the cam is decoding fine when i watch the channel, its recording a sat channel thats being decoded by the cam as i watch a cable channel.

I have just tested mine I recorded canal +film HD and watched an encrypted cable channel.
Or am I not getting what you mean.
By the way I am using a CLI image.

ok thanks, thats what i was trying to do, there are other problems with recording with the latest nlb image so i will try the cli tommorow and see if that works for me.

are you using the cli version 4 beta?
