Hi Alll,

Just got my DM800, and flashed it with Gemini 3.90. But since I use a ASAT 10/1 diseqc for currently 8 sat positions I have trouble setting the right tuner configs to get it working, and I had no luck finding any help anywhere so far, so i'm hoping someone here have tried to set up the DM800 with more than 4 LNB's before.

I have tried to set it up the same way like I have it working on my DM7020, with Diseqc type set to 1.1 and assigning each LNB to the correct sat position, just like it is on my DM7020 box.

On LNB 1 I have 0.8W, and I can search and find all channels find on that. But on all the rest on LNB 2-8 it does not find any channels when doing a channel search, so something is not working with the set-up/diseqc. But since it works fine on my 7020 it must be some sort of setting i'm missing when setting it up on the DM800 ?

When setting each satelitt up under the tuner advanced settings, the only thing i change is: LNB = LNB 1-8, and I change diseqc type to 1.1. Is there anything else I should change from default ?

Anyone who can help me with this please ?

P.s. Maybe not explaining this very well, but please ask if I need to provide better/more information.

Hi m8

No you need quite a few settings more than you have.......Have a look here and it should assist you ok.

https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98267&highlight=diseqc+settings

This shows the settings for 8 in 1 the same as I have, and no problems at all, not sure about the extra 2 to make you up to the 10, but I think you said you only use 8 anyway.

The only thing you have to check is whether your switch is committed or uncommited

Good luck

Ah, thanks alot. It was exactly something like this I was looking for. I yes, seems like I missed alot of settings :smash:

My switch is this one: http://www.*******24.de/*******24_s/asat_germany_diseqc_relais_10_1.h tml

And from what I gather, its an uncomitted switch(?). So I left the committed Diseqc command field at None, or should I still fill that out with AA like you have on all of yours ?

Also due to thinking that my switch is uncommitted, i also have "Committed, uncommitted, Toneburst" set in Command order. Is that wrong ?

Besides these 2 settings above, I set everything like you have. But still when I do a test scan of 4.8E(or 9E for that matter), it just finds less than 20 channels which is ofcause wrong. And I dont really understand what exactly the problem is, since it does seem to find the 4.8E sattelitt fine, since it can find some channels, but only about 20... I would think that if the set-up was wrong, it would not find anything at all, or ? But with 0.8W which I have on LNB 1 it scans everything fine, and find all channels, so something with the settings of LNB 2-8 I dont get right.

Hi m8

For the 8 in 1 you need to set each lnb with its own setting.....

LNB1 AA input 1
LNB2 AB input 1
LNB3 BA input 1
LNB4 BB input 1

5-8 is the same but change input1 to input 2

The command order does not really make any difference, but if you are happier changing it then change it to uncommitted first then the rest.

The other thing you need to check is that your sat names are the same name you are trying to scan......If you have set Sirius 4.8 East. as one of your lnbs then make sure your sat list shows the same name, and not something like Astra 5.0 deg East

You will get there m8...Just take your time and READ !!!!!!

Thanks for your help so far!

Quick question to your last reply:

You write:

LNB2 AB input 1
LNB3 BA input 1
LNB4 BB input 1

5-8 is the same but change input1 to input 2

But on the pictures, you have say LNB 5 = Input 5(under uncommitted diseqc command).

Shouldn't LNB 1 = Input 1, LNB 2= Input 2, LNB 3 = Input 3 and so on ? Or are you talking about setting it up using 2 X 4/1 switches ?

After tweaking some more and taking some guesses, I managed to get all 8 LNB's working now :hurray:

LNB 1 was set for Input 1, LNB 2 for Input 2, LNB 3 = Input 3 and so on. And then ALL committed Diseqc were set for AA, and sequence repeat = NO.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction Fendoch.

Glad you got it sorted m8....an 8 in 1 uncommited switch is just like 2 x 4 in 1 switches. I think you will find that the pictures refer to the newer uncommitted switches that uses each lnb as a different input.

Slightly different from my setup as I only have 8 in 1 switches feeding 3 boxes....all 8 LNBs are 4 outputs, so still room for another box !!!!
