C+ replacement cards

Did I read on here a few months ago that 1w cards were being replaced around now and that would mean the end of viewing with m2 diablo for the moment?

I have a 1w official card,,,, no change here that I have been infomed of from the supplier,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,, MAYBE SWEDISH CARDS?????

Just wait for the next conax key change, to see if M2+/Diablo still are working on 1W.

If you want a guaranteed service then an official subscription is the only option.

Diablo could go off anytime and never come back.

You pays your money and take a chance. Just don't come on here moaning when it goes off the day after you bought a Diablo.

No worries Xanadu, been around since tv2 d2mac and don't have too many icescrapers in the collection! Preferred option going forward is linux hd when there is some competition out there. Just tryin to weigh up if diablo is worhtwhile stop gap or not.

not all cards need to be changed. I believe only old cas5 needs physical change. cas 7 can be fixed OTA.

Premiere Thema has fixed conax hacker problem after 3 days! Remember? No card change needed.
Kabelkiosk has fixed hacker problem last friday. No card change needed.
I expect 1w to fix hacker problem March 1st. Some card change needed.

all new cards from more then 7 months agau are Conax cas7 and just old cards with 014. 2000-2010 ***** are cas 5.

But Digitalb system is : HD and EMPEG 4 Sd channels Conax cas7 SD channels Mpeg2 are Conax cas5...but not for long........

Got my new card today,my old card is nr. 011 26** 12**-*

same here new card came my old card started with 011 also.
Works fine in DM 800 with ccam 2.011 and conax cam 4.0

according to the letter which came with the card CD mentions that the old card would stop working from 10.03.2009 so I need to use new card before that.
Just need to see if C+ 1 west will be dead on m2+ and diablo after that.

oh dear sounds bad - is there any other talk on any sites wheather the diablo will be able to cope iwth cas7 or not

They are changing the cards to latest cas version to avoid attacks on card management. They tried to renew management keys without any affect on the underworld hack thats because underworld team seems to have unique keys as well (those are used to decrypt management key updates). New cards uses new chips/core and they should keep out new attacks. This means that underworld team got new challenge. Old cards will be killed as soon all customers receives the new ones. :king-041:

Why worry about a new card.

Diablo will come up with a new update if needed.

It may or may not take a while, but so what.

Get a subscription if you want uninterrupted service.
