Anyone used the above dish? It has the same dimensions as a zone 1 minidish yet claims to perform the same as a 70cm dish 'in tests' (which I think is a load of balls). Going to put one up over the weekend & was wondering how reliable it actually is.

Thats why I think its a load of balls. I'm putting one up for my dad, was hoping to put up a Triax TD64 (for astra 1/2 & Hotbird) but he already has a 85cm 'Hughes' dish on his property thats setup for the Lotto.

The neighbours aren't too happy with the larger Lotto dish up hence the reason i'm only putting the orbital 58cm up. I think i'm right in thinking that a second dish must be no bigger than 60cm in any direction.....guaranteed someone will complain to the council if I go bigger.

I'll put it on a motor so i'll post results here once done.

Well....I manged to get this dish up but not had chance to align it up properly with the meter due to the rain, set the motor to 28e, then I used the motor to drive the dish to 19e, 13e, 5e (only a few channels), got TRT and a few others on 42e. Nothing on 1w. Didn't try any of the western sats as the dish is set pretty close to the wall plus theres nothing of interest.

Couldn't get anything on 16e but as I mentioned earlier I haven't set it up with the meter...just a bit of guesswork.

I have fitted about 10 as I work for Orbital they are about the same gain as a Zone 2 sky dish ( but a lot better quality) have done a Twin feed Astra1/Hotbird and got 97-98% on Horizon meter:respect-055:

Excellent results, yeah you're right about the build quality, slightly bigger than a zone 1.

I'll post further results once I've got round to lining it up with a meter, can't believe i had it running without a meter.

Just out of interest what is the offset angle on the dish, there was nothing in the box to say, I went for 25 degrees as it is on other orbital dishes.

Got the dish aligned yesterday and had a play today, results are;

1w - Can see digi TV fine, no breakups, usual channels for footy are spot on, sure there'll be breakups when it rains.

TPs Sig Qual.
11277v 93 79
11259h 93 84
11325h 93 86

5e Got a few but not much to watch on there

7e

9e

13e - Booming in

16e - Can't lock onto Digitlb (didn't expect to either)

19e - Booming in

28e - Same again

36e - only got 7 channels

42e - pulled in around 120 channels

All in all i'm more than happy with the reception considering the size of the dish and location, glad I didn't go for the larger looking zone 2 dish now.
