Hello,

I currently have a 1.2m dish in Wiltshire and can receive pretty much all satellites quite comfortably. Sirius 5e and Thor 1w both boom in without problems.

Since I am moving to London shortly, I will need a dish as small as possible, so I am wondering what results I will get on an 1m or even an 80cm dish in London on Thor and Sirius Nordic beam (maybe even in a multi-feed setup).

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

CJ

well if I remember correctly the further south you go the bigger the dish you need opposite to most sats so you may need to keep your 1.2 m dish

I am already in the south and 1.2m dish is more than enough. The further east you are, the better. Just wanted to hear from real life experiences how much better...

I'm London based and have just shifted my 80cm dish and have had no problems with Sirius and the Thor stuff at 1W comes through at reasonable strength but certain TPs drop right off.
Have struggled to get a decent lock at 8W though.
