On my 5400, if I aim at 23.5E and input the TP for redXclub 11635V 28500 I see no signal at all, don't suppose anyone has any ideas?

Another little quirk, on 5E if I try and put in 12111H 27500 I get the message "TP Already exists" Yet it doesn't! Well, not on 5E anyway.

Am flumoxed by these two little probs.

Hi M8

The problem with the TP 11635 H 28500 9/10 is the FEC, and you will find that there are others on 23 East with the same FEC. - The 6000 Series receivers are capable of getting those FEC's but the 5000 can not.

With the TP on 5 East, have you tried deleting it and re-installing it with the following 12111 27500 5/6.

I hope that this is of some help to you.

Can't delete it as it's actually not even in (the 12111)

Had an idea, this may not work but.....

How about with the 12111 i manually add it in the clarke editor, and... stupid idea number 1, what about i add the 11635 to the box, then save channel list, then load it into clarke edit and try manually adding the FEC?

Or has someone already thought of and tried that one?

As a sidenote though, I have to say i really like my new 5400 super, really nice reciever and very user friendly.

Hi M8

To Add a TP, do the following:

Adding a new transponder:

1 - menu -> go to Installations > select Advanced search -> bring the cursor down to transponder -> now press the green button,
2 - add the frequency -> symbol rate -> polarization -> search type -> Network=off
3 - now press the red button to scan,
4 - now exit,exit,exit & view

You can try adding the 2 TP's that you have mentioned, you should get the 5 east one, but you will not get the 23 east TP's with the 9/10 FEC.
As I have previously stated the 5000 series receivers cannot get the 9/10 FEC, it is only the 6000 receivers and as you may know they are HD capable receivers, and have the capability to get those FEC's, and I know as I have both the 5400CI+ Super and the 6900 HD Combo.
