One satellite cable

Hi at the moment I only have a twin LNB on my1.2 Channel master dish,I have one feed going upstairs and one for downstairs.

I plan to change the LNB at some point to a quad output but being disabled this may have to wait until my brother can run cables for me.

Is it safe to use just one satellite tuner for a while or is there another way around this to use both tuners.

The box has an option to set lnb feed 2 Or "b" as its called via the menu to "equal to tuner A" for recording etc if thats what you mean ....? Splitting the cable dosent work tho as i found out !!
