Hi, has anyone been able to use a Viaccess viewing card in the Innovation...If so, which slot is it and what setting if any have to be changed...thanks

Yes, i used an ART card in it last year.

There is only one slot aswell so you can't really mess it up.

No CI slots for cams though, just a multicard reader.

Thanks for your reply Rigsby...are we talking about the same receiver here...My Innovation has 2 card slots...1 for Conax and 1 for x-crypt
and 2 CI slots...card works fine in Dragon cam...just out of interest,
trying to get the card slots set-up...

He's talking about the innovative, which is also made by Fortec....allegedly.

Yours is completely different.

saint123.yes i have the same receiver as you and have only had success with a conax card. would also be interested as to what the xcrypt card reader is for if you or anybody else can help

The Fortec INNOVATION HD with 2 CA Slots and 2x CI.

One is compatible with Conax as you mentioned and Irdeto ,Viaccess as well,so I have been informed.

The Xcrypt is for Free X.

I suppose its a matter of testing different Cards.

When I go back to the UK in May I am thinking of getting this one,
as soon as I have got hold of it I will be able to Test and Report back.

Mr Maveriq sent me some hacked firmware which has both card slots working great with Viaccess cards - I think it supports other cards as well, but unable to test.

No, just an official Via card, although Maveriq told me it works with all cards.

Yes load with front usb same as normal, also got the software this morning and confirm it definately works with via cards. trying to get other cards to test. big thanks to Denton

2. Presumably when you say recognises Conax/Irderto cards, you mean it works/clears OK?

it works and clears via cards, also digialb conax but dont know yet if it with update sub, it recognise a irdeto card but cant confirm if it clears as the sub has expired whereas as stated it does not recognise a tit card. it is the via cards that is the big bonus for me thanks

Good point about whether it can update cards. My Viaccess needs new tiers around NOW, so will report back and confirm, or otherwise.
