I've heard that they are not very good. Very difficult to put together due to poor instructions, they are a leaf design that you assemble yourself. I think you get the quality you pay for.

Real bad Prime Focus dish in 6 pieces, start to rust in a few months, this OffSet Gibertini 1.5 very solid and 100 times better.

Or nr 2 Channel Master Gregorian 2.4 thats what we call a Dish

Hi

Can confirm that these are a very poor dish thats why they are so cheap

I use a 1.2 metre fibo gregorian which easily outperforms it and it is now 12 years old.

The Channel Master 2.4 don't belong to me but you can use him in the UK for the Ku and C band, also you can turn him in a spit second into a Gregorian dish so he will recieve more signal by sub refector in front.
The Gibertini 1.5 is equal on a 1.8 or more then the Prime Focus dish.

Yes stay away from those Fortec Star dishes. They can be alright if you are a pro in setting them up. ie using a lazer to help.

I use to have a gibertini 150cm dish with matched feedhorn and it was very good, I still have it at the sie of my house stripped down.

Now I have a Channel Master/Andrews 240cm dish. This is great dish but will not go down well with the wife so not a good idea to get one unless you are single.

If I had a massive garden and lived in a area with no neighbours then I would love a 370cm Prodelin.

Here a picture of my dish.

Keano, best get some miracle grow for your camouflage plants m8! And to think of the **** i get about having a mere 1.2 in the garden and a 1m on the gable. Also not a million miles from you spotted a dish outside a boozer the other day, didn't get close enough to see what it was but it was behind a fence behind a caravan and still stickin out!

Yes It is still brown and those trees in front have gone. Also the trellis at the side now as green wind break mesh stapled to it.
It does actual work from the kitchen window you hardly notice it now :respect-059:

I've had the 2.4m version of this dish for the past 18 months.

It took a while to get installation right (3 hours to assemble and 2 or 3 days of fine tuning LNB and alot of calm nerves needed).

I get All Nilesat inc Showtime 24/7 no probs (London). There is big difference between the 1.8m and 2.4 if you think about it:

1.8m has area of approx 2.54m sq
2.4m has area of approx 4.5 m sq

That is a staggering deference of 45% in area :)

You need to get the matching LNB & feedhorn. Well worth it sofar for me, not moved it since day 1, while I had to re-align my 1.2m dish twice in the past 18mnoth.

I did need to sweep the snow off it recently to get the footy back, such hard life.

PS: I just want to say I tried the 1.8m before packing and returning for the 2.4m, if you have the space , go bigger.
