View Full Version : Dish motor ?

When Setting up a dish Motor Does The Round piece Of Tube That holds the dish on does it point up or down ?
also it has settings of o-50 on either side of the motor what setting roughly would i set it to get 1 west as my start point.
be obliged for any help.

If the tube is hollow but sealed at one end then down,,, otherwise it collects rain and other sh¤t

off hand the motor is a gbsat H-H 100 ex
and its sealed at the bottom of the tube.

if is a stab motor then its point up . mine came from tony and thats the way it goes

Have just checked on HI SAT
Seems the rotor ( dish holder ) must be UP...

So sorry for wrong info

Dish elevation adjustment ( the long slot ) down

A general rule of thumb if your not sure is look where lnb & receiver connections are these should be pointing downwards to prevent water entering.

Hi a big thanks to all.
got it up and running getting most sats
the ones iam finding probs with up till now
are 26east 28east 30west will tinker about
tomorrow again.
just a note i faced the motor tube up with the conectors
facing down the the way.
