receiver stuck in boot

just put latest software version on my technomate 6900 hd combo but receiver is stuck in boot with just technomate logo on front of receiver and cannot get picture on tv , says in instructions to do factory reset but cant do that with nothing showing on screen , need help fast!!

Assume you have tried switching power off then on again, but Have you tried updating via a serial cable ? - Make sure you have the correct update for your model

thanks guys got it sorted now , i had downloaded the wrong update from the very confusing technomate site where downloads are very poorly laid out , are there bug free official updates on this site?? as very cautious about loading an update which may have bugs
