View Full Version : AGC not working on dreambox

My friend has a dreambox 500S and there seems to be a problem with it which has happened over the weekend. What happens is that we connect up the box to the motor and LNB, but get no power from the box to the motor. The AGC middle bar in the motor settings stays at 0. We have tried the box on my dish and motor which I know is working but were not having any luck with getting the box to move the motor. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Have you tried resetting the motor?

How do you reset a motor, do you mean relign it?

What does the low AGC mean? He gets some BER numbers but the AGC is very low. Also there is no green light on his motor.

Low AGC means u don't have signal and the more number of BER u get, u won't get any signal, BER have to be "0" zero. Read your motor,s manual .
What model do you have ? If u have MOTECK SG-2100A there is a small hole where the green light is inset a toothpick in it and hold you'll see the light flash 3x then u are done remember the box must be on.
