Hi All
I am thinking of getting a hard disc for my Dm800 to give me more options.
But I am not sure if I should get an internal or an external ?.
What do youi think
Thanks Chris

I've gone for external to keep the heat down.
I've also gone for external, get an esata type if your getting one, works great :king-041:

Mine came with a 160gb internal pre-installed
Works a treat!

okey dokey
The Heat was the thing I was worried about,
so Im thinking of the external HDD ( which would save me dismantling my new DM800 :o15:, )
What would be a good type and size to go for?

I stuck a 320GB internal inside, works great and no heat issues or lockups. Been running like that since the box came out never locked up once :-)

What are the internal hard drives like to install and get set up?
Thanks chris

very easy and simple to install
I would recomend an average size like 160gb and Samsung make to avoid incompatibility issues :)

I would go for internal personally, but only because I don't really fancy having extra boxes outside of the bo for the external versions... I have had an internal 320gb western digital in the box for the past 6 months or so... Have no problems with heat (although I did fit a 2.5cm fan to try and resovle the problems which were later resolved by the later bootloaders).
Have no problems, and running fine. Would defo say to get as large a drive as possible (think they support up to 500gb), as I have already used 160gb or so...

Hi
I was looking at a 500gb western digital external earlier on the net, they seem to be well priced .
I have plenty of space in the compartment under my tv where I keep my boxes,
what are the western digital hard drives like to set up on the DM800?
Thanks chris

If you go for an external it should be just as simple of plugging in at the back. Make sure you use esata. If you buy usb you will have issues. Then just format in and initilise it in the settings menu and away you go.
