I have an apartment in Spain, on the roof we have a 2.4 metre dish using an lnb/multi switch combination which gave sixteen outputs, recently another multiswitch was added giving a further six or eight (can't be sure) outputs. I have one of the leads into my apartment from the original 16 output switch. I want to run another lead to the apartment next door which is for holiday lets but they want to charge me £200 to connect to one of the spare 8 way multiswitch terminals and run a lead down, to the other apartment. Is there any way I can put a multiswitch on my cable and have two outputs both working independently? I don't mean an R.F splitter which will only allow the other user to watch channels on the same polarity as me.
If I can do this, what do I need to buy and what would be the approximate cost?

Thanks in advance for any help

No, you cannot. The choice of polarity/band is driven by a voltage change and a 22 kHz switchable tone, so on a single cable the settings for these two features must be the same. Hence the limitations on the choice of channels on the 2nd decoder.
