you need to change the ip address in the menu of your tm9100 to a fixed address and turn off dhcp

so use something like 192.168.0.5 or whatever ip addresses your router gives out in dhcp. now every time your tm9100 is on it will use the same fixed ip address and tells the router what it is using , and you can forward any ports to this one address if you need to ;)

the laptop can either be made to do the same in its tcp/ip settings ( use a different fixed ip address ) or you can leave it to pick up the first avaialble one off the router same as it may do now

personally I have all my pc,s and tm,s using a different fixed ip so dhcp is rarely used in my abode :)
