Humax 5400 problem

Hi

Up until yesterday working perfectly OK. Watched Man U game

Watchin chelsea game and it keeps goin on and off. Have correct key for Dig TV - I've tried different versions of firmware/PMCTs etc but nothing seems to fix. It even does same on Kingston/Hustler.

Goes off for 30 seconds or so and comes back on for a bit and goes off again. Gettin rather annoying.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Assuming that you are using the Humax 5400's internal emulator to decrypt the channels check the following:


1. The CAID Preselect is set to "Card + Emu" (Config menu)
2. The Nagra2 AU is set to "Off"
3. The inbuilt Irdeto Cam contains a programmed Funcard (or similar)
4. Any third party Cam is removed from the Common Interface Slot

Common reasons for the On /Off decryption are:

The response time to code requests not being fast enough.

Response times are fastest using CAID Preselect "Card + Emu" and slowest using "Card + S + Emu"

Response times can be slowed when a third party CAM is present and your receiver checks this for codes instead of accessing the information directly from the receiver's emulator.

Is it windy where you live, or was it raining? Does this also happen on all channels? On free to air?
