It would appear that the DM8000 does not keep a sky card awake. Had to put card back into skybox to wake it up.

Can you elaborate in what you mean by it went to sleep ?
You mean it is not updating ?

It stops working - doesn't clear any channels.
You put it back into the skybox and after x hours (1-72) it works again.

Did it not work after a simple restart of the emu ?

hi.for some reason sky card dont keep active in the dreambox it has to be put back in sky digibox for a few hours on sky news channel for the quick active update of your sky card so it works again ,,, dont know if this is 100% but iam 96% sure maybe:D

Have a sly card with a setanta sub in a dm500 and don't seem to have this problem?
Would be bad news if I did as I sold the dodgybox!

Seems strange as I have not put my card back in the original box for about 2 years.

I have had my card go to sleep a few times when it is running in my 7020but that is normally when the card is not i use ie watching a FTA channel.

Never when it is in use, I have had it running in Dm7000, 7020 and 800 but don't have the 8000 to test.

Maybe someone else can comment.

Never had a problem either, with a FTV and full package cards in a 7020 and a 7000 running gbox and just recently Cccam.
Can you look at the entitlements oldfart :respect-050:

If you are using mgcamd/newcs have you got autoupdate set to
<au>on<au>
<sidoverride>on</sidoverride>

Using NewCs_1.65/CCcam_2.05
which file would I 'try' and put those lines?

entitlements ???

Running CCcam only and by using "CCcam Info" you can view the card entitlements and the dates when they will expire

So worse case scenario you could pop your card back in your sly box a week or so before they expire and they should update

The only thing I get is:

"Welcome to CCcam 2.0.5 server"

No info at all ...hmmmmm
