13:00 American Madness

(1932) Frank Capra Depression-set drama with Walter Huston as a popular bank manager who survives a run on his bank caused by crooked vice-president Gavin Gordon.


14:35 The Dark Corner

(1946) Lucille Ball, before she turned to comedy, stars in this gripping film noir as a secretary who sets out to prove that her ex-con private eye boss is innocent of murder.



16:30 Reach for the Sky

(1956) A classic biopic, recounting the true story of WWII fighter pilot ace Douglas Bader (Kenneth More) who, despite losing both legs, became one of the RAF's finest flyers.


19:10 The Man Who Knew Too Little

(1997) Spy spoof with Bill Murray as the innocent mistaken for a master spy who gets caught up in a plot to re-start the Cold War. With Joanne Whalley.

(2006) Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Sherry Swanson, just out of prison, who struggles to stay straight to keep her infant daughter in this moving drama. Strong language/drug use/*** scenes.


22:50 Infernal Affairs I

(2002) Tony Leung is an undercover cop in a Hong Kong gang; Andy Lau is the gang's man inside the force trying to find him. When the two meet in this thriller, sparks fly.

(1987) Film noir with Debra Winger as a Justice department agent investigating the deaths of rich old men, all of whom appear to have been married to Theresa Russell.

(1944) WWII drama centred on the training and combat experiences of small-town farm boy William Eythe and on his romance, interrupted by the war, with Anne Baxter.



16:40 The Raid

(1954) Van Heflin stars as the leader of a group of Confederate escapees from a Union prison in New York who plan to create a second front in Hugo Fregonese's Civil War thriller.


18:25 K19: The Widowmaker

(2002) Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson star as feuding commanders aboard a stricken Russian nuclear submarine where one false move could trigger WWIII.

(1980) The classic mould-breaking stricken-aircraft comedy, starring Peter Graves, Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Leslie Nielsen and Robert Stack. And don't call me Shirley.

(1997) Quentin Tarantino's film stars Pam Grier as an air hostess playing cops against criminals to stay out of jail and keep a stash of loot. Very strong language/***ual scenes.


01:40 Infernal Affairs II

(2003) Two rookie cops take different paths; one undercover in a gang, the other as a bent cop informing on his colleagues, in this tough thriller. Violent scenes.
