Been waiting for a while for them to release their version of 3.32 for my HD200 but no sign of it and it looks like the site hasn't been updated in a month either:frown:

Anybody any idea what's going on?

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I know where the site is, it's just that they usually have updates out within a few days and according to their site it hasn't been updated since the 27th of February.

I'm really interested in some items they had released in their last update, some of which didn't work properly and I was hoping they'd have it sorted by now...

Maybe Gxmax is on holiday :) Sometimes the gaps between releases can be quite long, and then you get a rush of releases. we just have to be patient. Just happy that we have people like GXmax and others to make our hobby more interesting.

Dont you mean channel 4 hd There is no Channel 5 hd, if there is i can't pick it up, as long as you have updated the card in your sky decoder you should be able to get channel 4 hd I do get it but have an isue with it caus it keeps breaking up i've been told its a heat problem and a fan needs to be put in just over the digital tunner in the hd200 have not done this yet ive tried cooling it from the top of the box with fans which does completly cool it down but still no luck it still breaks up and also breaks up on disney hd i don't think its a cooling problem not sure why it does it????????

Channel 4 HD works but as previous poster said you have to make sure it is still 'active'.

If you look at this (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98628) thread about Channel 4 HD you'll see what I had to do to resolve my problem, it is definately heat related and you have to know exactly where the component is (slightly to the front and left of the DVB-S2 tuner).

Thanks I hear what your saying unfortunatly i'm not very good with electronics to do this lol, The idiots should of put a fan in it in the first place knowing how hot the damm thing gets But i will take note of this and find someone who will do it for me thanks for the advice

I found C4 hd works ok when using the recievers smart card slot , but only had it on for 1/2 hour. but seems strange picture problem and heat problem only happens on sly nd$ channels not bbc hd or canal + hd channels. ps didn't the Dreambox DM 800 have problems with overheating and this was solved with some kind of bootloader update.

I found C4 hd works ok when using the recievers smart card slot , but only had it on for 1/2 hour.

When I was originally testing I found that it didn't make a difference whether the CAM was inserted or not (you can see problem by hitting 'Info' button and signal quality drops to 0 as channel lock is lost).

Yes, it is strange that it only seems to happen on Sky HD channels, the only correlation I found was that the all seemed to be DVB-S2 channels but then not all had the problem either, for me Disney Cinemagic was the worst and was the channel I used for testing.

Ive today played around with my box on channel 4 hd and Disney Cinemagic hd tried everything , even took it apart put fans over the dvb using the usb port at the back tried all different places and the box was as cool as anything but still had the same problem these channels breaking up, my box even with the fans and now my box is not hot at all is still causing me problems How can this be when now my box isnt even hot now done what people have said with no luck i'm CONFUSED. I still think A new firmware or loader is needed it just should not do this?????

does this need to be put in a sky hd box to update the card or can it be put in a standard box cheeers

hans35

Yes the card can be put in any sky box and will update the latest codes to what ever your subscribing to. As for channel 4 hd its a FTA channel and should just update through your sky every month as normal.

Now the new firmware is out for the hd200 As of yet its not clear if the card will auto update through the hd200 Gxmax have not given any info on this apart from fixing the problem with the card reading in the hd200 box. Maybe gxmax can give us a bit more info if the card will auto update in the hd200 can only hope
