Problems updating channels using Dreambox Edit

I'm trying to upload the channel lists from this thread https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=97030

using Dreambox Edit to my DM800 but no matter what I do it won't work properly. I am able to edit my current channels no problem, back/restore fine.

I can load these new files into Dreambox Edit and everything looks ok I then go to FTP the files and it says FTP successful. However at the end of the upload unlike when I restore or change my original channel lists even though the 'auto reload Enigma 2 settings' option is ticked it does not reload and if I do a manual reload or even a full power down and back up again I get no channel lists/bouquets or anything at all on my Dreambox.

What am I doing wrong?

In options which settings have you selected ?
Also untick 'auto reload Enigma 2 settings'
When the settings are loaded reboot box.

Wow! That's so weird I did take the tick off the 'auto reload' option and then rebooted via the web interface and it worked.

Well strange because I pulled the power to reboot before and that didnt even work! Strange!

I know it's odd but since the latest drivers Dreambox edit does not like the auto reload.

Also seems to have a few glitches also but it's just a case of playing with these things until they work.

Oh dear spoke too soon now I have all the bouquets, and channels listed but they are all greyed out and when I select one I don't get the channel

Any ideas?

Check your tuner settings and make sure your satellite.xml has not been corrupted in the process.

You better make a custom telnet command to reload enigma,since I autoreload never seem to work
Put something like
killall -9 enigma2
in custom command,send it after you send channels in.

There is always the option of "Reload settings on Dreambox" within DreamBoxEdit. I've never had the "Auto Reload Settings Enigma2" option work. But after I upload the files within dreamboxedit, I hit the "Reload Settings on Dreambox" button, and it restarts the box. Basically, this sends the telnet command "killall -9 enigma2" that kebien mentioned earlier...
