I have a technomate super 6900 with diablo cam.
The problem is that since my stepson was here the other and 'flicking through the menu settings' on the remote control for the receiver I have lost sound on a couple of channels.
These are BBC HD and Discovery HD on 1W tp 12014H.
I have looked through the tp settings and things seem to be ok.
hope someone can suggest an answer, thanks in advance.
try the PID search on 1W tp 12014H from the menu Installation
when viewing the channel try the audio button
in system settings check A/V output setting audio language or SPDIF
hide the remotes next time

Could you be more specific. I tried (from the menu/installation) a pid search on the tp (do you mean a scan) but then what?
also, the video, audio and pcr pid settings are set to auto for this tp.
select PID search
select satellite
select transponder
select symbol rate
select polarization
press red button
the pid search should find the stations and set the pids correct, when stations are listed exit menu and save, see if you have audio now

Thanks, I checked the audio settings on system settings. When I changed this setting to spdif from hdmi the sound came back. Why should this setting only affect the odd channel??
bt the way my stepson is actually 27 and he works for someone helping to install satellites and audio systems so I trusted him.
once again thanks.
most likely these transmit in dolby and the dolby output can go to another output set in the A/V output setting. (optical SPDIF/ HDMI) is your system connected with HDMI cable? If so check settings on flatscreen.
ps. glad you have the sound back
