Updating packages - should it be done

Came across an update for the dvb (driver I guess), but no changelog or further information. Should I install??

dreambox-dvb-modules_2.6.12-5.1-brcmstb-dm8000-20090317-r0_dm8000.ipk

Also, should we blindly install 'update' packages - where there is no info??
