An early April Fool and his TT1

Hi

I've been trying to upgrade my TT1 for almost 4 hours now and despite all your excellent instructions I'm still getting No Map Found

I have a TT1 which I updated to 7.903 today via TT Home. That seemed to go OK. Then I deleted my old map folders and copied over the UK&RI v825.2159 maps and updated the postcode zip folder.

I downloaded and ran the Easy Activator and did the following...
Selected TT8 Keygen
Entered the ID
Then Ive browsed to my map folder (the files are actually in a sub-sub folder as they were unzipped but I've tried with the files at all levels of folder). When I've browsed to the folder with the files I get a pop-up which says 0 and I have to click on OK.

Then I browse to the **** file and go to step 5 where I get an error "Already Patched or SE version"

If I try to patch my TT Sys file P get an error "Already Patched! original_ttsystem Exists!

Two other points...
1) The Primary and Secondary servers are consistently down
2) I also downloaded and tried yDG but whenever I try to start it I get an error saying the application failed to initialise properly and I have to click on OK to terminate the app.

I know it's not April Fools Day for a few more hours and I must be missing something stupid but I've tried and retried until I'm completely confused so any help would be much appreciated.

Here's one problem - the map folder should not be inside another folder - you should just have one folder named :- 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_I reland'

Have you already patched your Tomtom - or are you using a ready patched version ?
Don't worry too much if the servers are down - just use the me ta files provided in the folder if you are using Albert's activation tool. You can also use the latest activation tool from Albert to patch your Tomtom & your Tomtom Home. See the latest guide I've posted in here.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. I've tried the single folder again but still no luck and the secondary server is up too so that wasn't the problem.

I'm sure I patched the TT1 many months ago to change to App 7.162 and UK&RI v705.1480. Can't remember when I did that but it worked perfectly.

Since then I've now "upgraded" to 7.903 and all my attempts to add maps and patch anything have failed.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but just can't see for looking.

Hi Kewa,

You sure you are patching the correct file? sometimes it has to be pndnavigator.exe

You must overwrith your org 7.903 tt system with> ttsystem 7.903 mappatch (5.660 kb file) and it will work m8.
