I had that problem with my buddy in Folkestone when he was changing from a dc motor to a disecq motor. I ended up driving down from Nottingham to sort it for him. Surely there is somebody that wants to take your money !

according to this map:

http://www.satbeams.com/footprints?lat=51.2772689&lng=1.0805173&phrase=canterbury,%20UK
you should get these beams:
on 1°W:
Intelsat 10-02
Azimuth angle: 126.96°
Elevation angle: 6.15°
LNB Tilt (Skew): 18.73°
Spot1 with: 53.2dBW - 48cm / 18.9in
EastHemi with: 37dBW - 165cm / 65in
Spot3 with: 50.4dBW - 60cm / 23.6in
NeZone with: 37dBW - 165cm / 65in dish
on 0.8°W:
Thor 3:
NordicCEE with: 44dBW - 120cm / 47.2in
Thor 5:
T1Nordic with: 44dBW - 120cm / 47.2in
T2 with: 50dBW - 60cm / 23.6in
your orientation should be:

http://fr.dishpointer.com/test/supermap.htm?satellite=3592&address=canterbury%2C+UK
maybe this info gives you an idea what went wrong?
I think when your dish is below 120cm you should point on T2 and set your STB:
BBC World News:
11325.00 H DVB-S (QPSK) SR 24500 FEC 7/8 SID 1001 VPID 513 audio 644.
