Ever since Summertime started the clock on my 6900 combo (Not Super )wont keep the time. Anything from two hours slow to two hours fast, and if I change to another Sat it can change again. Not a great problem but the EPG times are set by the incorrect time. No matter how many times I reset it the problem re-curs. Any suggestions please.TMULL

Hi Tmull ,

I don't have a cure but an observation with my Tm5400 Super..

As I switch off from the mains when finished and on again the next Day it reads 00:00:00 then after locking on to astra 28 East it corrects itself to local time, but as I move satellites broadcasting from other Countries it changes accordingly.. i Havent played much with the Time Settings Within Main Menu System Settings i.e GMT Isage and Local Offset but you may want to twiddle the settings to get it right???? There again I am not shure if either units have a built in Button Cell to store time etc etc.....This is not a problem for me but I hope it enlightens you a little.....

All the Best :respect-020:

Plessy.

Thanks to the Crew again for the latest Underworld ! :king-041:

Tmull I have the same unit... and mine does the same thing.. so all I've done is to switch off GMT usage... this will work fine... and keep the right time.. but it wont be 24 hr clock thats all.

Loz.

select in the menu: System Settings
in Time settings: turn GMT usage off
Current Time: can now be changed to your local time with the numeric button
don't forget to change times when changing from sumertime to wintertime or vice versa.

You need to set GMT to ON if you go satellite hopping.
If you leave it OFF the clock picks up the time from the transmission.
So as you hop around the sats. you get the local time of the program you are watching.
As its summertime you will need to change the 'location' setting to allow for this.
There is no 'summertime' offset built into the clock.
I'm in the UK so I just set it to a euro city to get the time correct.

Thanks for the input folks. If it read the correct time even though for a European country I would not mind but for each sat it gives a vastly diffrent time .I did not have a problem when on GMT so I might refer back to that. Thank ye all. TMULL

Just to recap.
Go to the clock settings page.
Turn 'GMT usage' ON.
The clock will now lock to the UTC (= GMT) time all transmissions carry.
However it will ignore the local time offset info being transmitted.
In order to display 'summertime' in the UK you need to add 1 hour.
To do this go down the page to 'Local Offset' and select Berlin.
You will need to change it back from Berlin to GMT in the winter.
Your clock should now be stable no matter what satellite channels you view.

when using GMT on the clock switches to the transmitted time:
the clock changes times on the watched channels and sat positions!

when using GMT off and set you time local.
the clock stays stable and shows your local time and shows the EPG in your local time and you don't have to recalculate the transmission times

Well with it being BST in UK at present and no provision for THAT on TM6900HD Super, mine is set to GMT Usage 'On' & Local Offset to Berlin Rome (1.00) - and in standby on 1W its showing the correct UK time - but I DO know it changes on other sats so will keep a beady eye on it now!:respect-057:
