dreambox noobie

OK I took the plunge and shifting my trusty Hummy to one side I've replaced it with a 500s. Managed to flash it with PLIjade and searched astra 19 and found loads of channels including gallons of stuff that I don't want. So what do I do now ? how do I get the box to find other sats , how do I upload a settings file, input keys etc. I've read loads of dummies guides but they all assume more dreambox knowledge than I have.
Appreciate any help for a meganoobie.

My advice, is to use a image that you can download everything by blue panel !
Just install the image, setup your lnb's (motor or fixed) and you can do the rest (or almost) by blue panel !

Having got it to work on Astra 19e , can I tell the box to find all other sats using astra as a reference, or have I got to find each individual satellite by searching manually ?

It all depends mate if you have your usals setup right. It may be worth doing a couple like 16/13 manually,

The blue panel mate is what happens when you press the blue button on your remote.

Join the pli forums for in depth help on the image, they are very good.
