Yesterday I transferred (for the first time) a channel list from a USB stick to my TM-6800 HD and a message popped up asking to choose between the Default and Normal DB. What is the difference between these two?

With the TM, as fair as I understand it, if you save as defaultDB the next time you do a scan it will use those default TP's included in your channel list, or if you do a factory reset, it will reset to those tp's...
NormalDB does not affect the the scanned tp's, or factory reset sats/tp's
...But I have been know to be wrong ;)

"Default DB" is something like "Factory list" If you save list in Default slot then you can get it back when you do reset, or you can always go back to default list if you make to much mess when scanning etc. Default DB is limited (as I remember right) to 1500 channels.
"Normal DB" is the one to use when loading a new channel list. If anything goes wrong then just reset, and you can have your old channels back.
