russ m8 you posted summit about a V825.2157 map that keeps asking to be up-dated and you put on that you just have to typ summit in the map name to stop this can you point me to it please
as this numpty cant think were it was and i have searched for it

If you are using any of the latest v825 maps when you connect your Tomtom to Tomtom Home you will get a message saying that there are "Newer Maps are Available".

To stop this message, open up your map folder (on your PC) then right click on the .pna file & open it with notepad.
Then add _825 to your map id e.g;ID = "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ir eland.pna" will be changed to ID = "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ir eland_825.pna"

Save the changes, then run the Update Tomtom with Tomtom Home. Your map will be shown up to date.

My existing PC file is actually larger than this one. Any ideas why ?

Don't know why, but it is a later & more up to date version.
