Hello guys,

I'm a new member of the AZBOX community, about a week old :respect-050:

However, I'm having problems with the followings on the latest firmware version - 0.9.1868:

1. I don't like the fact that pictures larger than 1920 x 1080 don't work - I have a huge collection of more than 30.000 photos of family and important events which work great on my Apple TV (such a shame it does not come with a tunner)

2. Using S/PDIF - digital output, Youtube, HD movies .mkv and .mov files have no sound, altough .avi/xvid files work ok

3. Recording on channels using mbox / incubus crashes, channel appears as SCRAMBLED ever 30seconds or so...

and of course, everything else listed in the bugtrack lists...

Anyone encountering the audio situation above, at no. 2?

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi mate I do also connected s/pdif out on this box and played mkv file sound 5.1 is perfect, but like you said there are lots to be ironed out yet, to be honest when I first got the box I was also very impaitent and knowledgeless, but as time goes by I realise that this could be the dmm killer so I am happy with my purchase, jus a bit more patience...:champion-018:

Hi,

1) I also hope that Azbox will support higher definition jpeg, I guess that we need to wait for a new firmware.

2) Do you try to play with the SPDIF digital output settings?

3) For me the more stable configuration so far is with mgcamd.

What I found out about S/PDIF output is the following:

If in audio/video settings you set Dolby Digital output to Dolby Digital, you have no output when playing AAC audio via S/PDIF. This includes Youtube. Dolby Digital output works correctly in 5.1

If on the other hand you set Dolby Digital output to PCM, all audio works fine but Dolby Digital 5.1 is downmixed to 2 channels.

Why a Dolby Digital setting affects AAC audio is beyond me.

DTS output works correctly both ways.
