S/PDIF output on azbox is optical or coaxial?

Hi guys,
I am gonna purchase home theatre digital audio system and gonna connect it to my azbox. I know for digital audio output there's the S/PDIF out on the azbox but I don't know I'll need to use optical or coaxial cable to get the digital sound out of the azbox. Would appreciate input on this matter.

There is only an Optical out on the AZBox.

There is a coax looking connector above the optical out.

I can give it a whirl at the weekend if you wish.

that's good news because optical cables are easier to find. So I'll just need a toslink cable like in this picture right?

That's a 12 volt output.

The bit that says 12v is what gives it away.

It would be expensive to blow up your AV Amp !

Just a bit confused. There's a S/PDIF out and just above it, 0/12V RCA looking single jack, is this 0/12V is the optical audio out jack using toslink cables?

The RCA is a 12v output and is clearly labelled as such.

It's normally used for controlling switches.

So it means it doesn't have anything to do with digital audio. So what's the answer to my original question, this S/PDIF out on the azbox, is it optical or coaxial i.e. we'll need a mono 3.5mm to single RCA cable converter to connect it to the coaxial input on the amp?

The SPDIF connector is optical.

It's a square shaped fitting.

Optical cables sometimes come with the 3.5mm adapter included.

Cheapest place to buy is the well known auction site.

guys i was using optical cable in azbox hd, but now i use it for xbox360, i wanted to use coaxial audio.

but it doesn't work!
isn't that 0-12v an audio output!? like dm500? :S

It's not a audio output!

0-12v is used for disecq control
