Can anyone confirm that the Technomate 6000 series (with latest patched firmware) supports a maximum of 16 Favourite Lists and a maximum of 120 channels per Favourite list?

I have created a Favoutite group called DigiTV and put all their TV channels in it (there are 158 channels). However, after I transfer the channel list to the TM, it will only keep the first 120 in the group. When I read the channel list back from the TM and open it with ClarkTech Studio all channels from the 121st onwards are no longer in the favourite group. Have already tried this 2 times to be sure and had same results both times.

made a favourite group test, added 300 channels to it, and uploaded to the TM-6900 HD Combo super with the 679p and the limit is 120 channels in a group, as you indicated. Perhaps TM reads here and make a software adjustment and allow some more channels in a favourite group.

When compared to my 9 year old Humax 5400, the software of the Technomate 6000 series is rather limited as regards the way the channel lists are handled. Apart from the limits that were mentioned in this thread you cannot group the channels by provider as in the Humax. A workaround is to group them in favourite groups which are given the names of the providers but as already stated above there is the limit of 16 groups. I find it quite useless to be able to store 10000 channels and then you have these sort of limitations.

Had same problem as you guys with list for digiTv. Made 2 fave lists A-L and the other M-Z, problem solved.

That is what I did too but that means two fav groups taken for one provider with only 14 remaining. Maybe for people with a fixed dish this is fine but not for people with a motorised system. I am very happy with this receiver, but it would be nice if they increased the limits of the fav lists and max channels per fav list.

I've a motorized system. I agree with your point but couldn't do it any other way, even so happy with the reciever and wouldn't change it. Apart from this one irritation never had a prob with it.

What about the PVR which sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. I bought a 1.5tb hd for the pvr and half the time my tm6900 hd combo reports the usb device not ready.
other than this its seems great.

As you said there are limitations grouping the favorite channels and renaming them.

But what you can do is create various Packages the V Sats list
Using

EG:
13E Hotbird
13E Nova
13E Art
13E Polsat
16E Digitalb
16E Tring

ETC
ETC

Using NDF editor or similar

I now shortly switch the TM on and off 5 minutes before recording, and have a delayed (computer)powersstrip that only gives power on the remaining sockets if the USB receives power.
I wonder if this problem only exists with powered USB harddiscs (bigger then 250GB) I got a WD My Book home edition 500 GB. It go's in to power saving mode and the TM can't find it.
