Internal HD help please...

Hi all,Ive put an internal HD in my DM 800,its all powered up and connected properly but i cant see it anywhere,ie,if i go to Hard Disk Settings,it just says"sorry,hard disk not found",if i press the red button,it says,"no HDD found or HDD noy initialised".Should i be doing anything else in order to get it to work?.Its a FUJITSU 160GB.TIA for any help.

Format the HDD in DCC first then it will work

Thanx for reply m8,Tries doing as you said but still no joy,Got DCC all up and running and all connected to DB ok,gone to telnet(only place i could find anything to do with formating)but then im stuck:confused:.Im probably not doing it correctly so will have anothe go later when home from work.

Hi edge,
have you tried going to Menu -> Setup -> System -> HardDisk and Initialising your hdd ?
worth a try if you haven't.

hi m8, I've got same problem b4 on (lt image), but I flash with new image (Nabilo Black Hole DM800 010) and hdd initializing msg gone.

As i now have the Recording bit all sussed,is there a way for me to Record on to dvd using my PC?I already have the VLC Player plug in set up and working fine so i can watch the films i have on my PC if that helps??

I havent done it myself but I see no reason why you cannot ftp the footage onto the pc hdd , then import into convertx2dvd or TMPGenc dvd author , author a dvd and burn it as normal
