My mates box tried to update image to gemini 4.4
Used flash tools and image image loaded ok now just green screen on boot
How does one fix this ?
Or does he just buy a dream and forget it with these mutants :grouphug:
Any help would be appreciated
BTW tried loading firmware again does not go ahead after pressing ok from remote.
TV Screen however displays u boot 1.20

try to flash the box with ***** image mate, Mutant is a very good box as long as you can install the images.

try to make a factory resett to the box , and the green screen will disapeer.

i hade the same problem with my IPbox 250 the oher day, a reboot , then a factory resett did the trick, as some time upon installing new software some old files do not gett delited and the VAR folder or the memory of the flash in the box gets full ,

if the memory is uptp 94 % full the box will give you a green screen, and will be like imposible to update the box agein.

what i did the other day was, i used flash ****** 6.3 and try to flash Sif image
with flash ******, first it ask me if i want to install flash ****** , i said yes
then i flash the Sif team image with the flash ****** ,

the box will not flash becouse the flash is diferent from dreambox and flash ****** will hang / try to flash,

now quit the flash ****** , and try to rebot the box, if you have a successfull reboot then go and sett the box to factory resett, then after that try to install the image you like .


Remember doing this at you own risk, i told you only what i have dobe few times when this happends to my box.

try it you,r self if you like, but please do not ask os shut at me if some thing goes wrong.

A m8, I've been using a mutant for a while now and its been very stable (depending on which image you have).
I'm using a g***** 4.4 in it at the mo and its doing just fine.
Try to flash it with the latest uboot for enigma images first and then reflash it again with image of your choice.
Another thing to remember is that to change the MiD of your box (if flashing a G***** image and you get the message "LOAD" while you're booting and it is not getting further).
The bottom line is, the green screen is nothing to be worry about.

A m8 like mentioned above try and change the mid.

I think you have to press > on receiver when you boot up. Then you get a list of all models of receivers.

yes loaded some evolution 2.1 image via pc editor is ok now but i want gemini and how do I load it again via pc editor ? I need that gemini 4.4 . I need that u-boot too I am using a serial cable

A m8y, do as follows:

Open pceditor then;

OPTION****PCEditor setting****Manage receivers, then fill the required fields.

when done go to:

TOOLS**** FLASH IMAGE**** SERIAL and choose and load the image you want into the editor.

From your box:

Hold together the power bottom and OK bottom (clock will be displayed),

Press and hold the power bottom untill "SARL" is displayed. Then hit the "OK" bottom from your front panel.

Hopefully everything will load ok. Just remember if after flashing it only goes as far as "LOAD" on the display then you will have to change the MID as described by keano (usually it wont happen).
