At the beginning of my "DM8k-age" one of the biggest trubles I had, was how to install BA on CF in order not having the HDD allways running. Finally I manage it by phisically unplugging the HDD and install BA which was included in NA-Pure-flash on CF.

Now we have a new update of BA, and as I had my first go to update I must have done something wrong because now at the starting multiboot screen of BA where you are asked which image you want to run with, it says:

"running BA vesion 4.8.12" but it is not said that BA is running from CF, as it used to be.

So I put it all back as it was (nightmare, but... it's worth)

Can someone explain step by step, how to upgrade to 4.8.12 keeping BA on CF where it is now, and not to go on HDD ?

Thank You

BA 4.8.12 is NOT for the DM8k (yet ... )

you *could* remove BA first ith the telnet command
ipkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen
then put the latest ipk file into the tmp directory and install it (either from the install ipk menu - blue button) or from telnet
Ipkg install /tmp/pakagename.ipk
make sure the CF is in the slot before you switch the DM on.

ok, thank you...

how can we know when a BA-Update is for the DM8k or not?

...is it because BA for 8k comes always with pure flash, rather than on its own?

Thank You,

- what a great box,
- what a great Image BH010,

but useless without your support !!!
