View Full Version : Is there a newbie guide for NewCS, MGCamd etc?

I've read and learnt a lot on these forums (thanks very much everybody) but I'm trying to get to grips with all the EMU and CS stuff out there now, apart from opening a few channels and getting a Viaccess card I have to work I'm a little stumped by everything else, there just seems to be a major leap above my knowledge level.

So, I'd be very grateful if somebody could point me in the direction of a site or thread that could hopefully expand my horizons. I mean I'm not even sure how to install the NEW NewCS and MGCamd by FTP :blush5:
Don't mind MBox or how complex that looks to me.

with the mgcamd just copy it to the openxcas folder and chmod the mgcamd & nfs.sh to 0755
drop your key files in and then it should open channels once you have enabled it in the plugins and activated it.

Can look at quick tutorial that i done about the key updates and it shows the chmod of files but very easy really.

Are there any plans to release CCC? Old stuff is Ok... but people are really in trouble because of CCC. Could you help? Thanks.

Ok, think I am making some progress but a quick question, if I have 2 AZBoxes on the same LAN each with a card, can MBox allow both of them to share each card with each other?

Which Card?

Only most Seca,Conax and Via will work, for the Rest you need MPCS,NewCS or OSCAM.
But aware about Entitlements, not working !
You need a Client like Camd3 on another Box or Mgcamd or any other Solution for Cardupdate.
