New Box Where to start ???

OK, the new Eliite box arrived today, and the way the weather is at the mo, looks like the dish will go up tom ! at my new house.

When I get the thing up and running, what do you think I should do !!

Update firm ?
install any essential plugins ?
Cccam ?

install latest firmware then the satellites and channels will need to be stored assuming you have a motorised system

Personally I would recommend the previous firmware (0.9.2032) as the current one is a little buggy.

Don't forget to read lots of threads on this forum, this is a ton of knowledge in here!

Just the advice I wanted, the older version of software it is then. Will get it up and running with the motorised dish ASAP. Reading all the posts now !

Stickies first: get the Manual, then "how to flash it" and onwards...

You can easily try the latest FW, just read the thread about what to look out for...

well its going well, although I could have done with a hand , my 85 Pentre dish and motor was a little on the heavy side !. firm updated,, and scanning sats, had a quick look at bbc hd, impressed. Wish the box booted in English LOL. Anyway great box so far !
