im having a problem with my octagon sf918 when i change to any HD chanel, receiver shuts down and reboots i have tried new firmware but nodifference.I went to the octagon help site but its all in german.your help would be much appreciated

Hi

Try this:
- get the latest emu firmware from __here__ (http://octagon.gmc.to/board.php?boardid=112) (currently V105.24)
- unpack it, put it in root on usb and make it a shorter name (eg v10524.bin)
- stick in box, make a backup of your database (menu - module - usb - info key on remote)
- menu - stb status - factory value
- load the firmware from usb, have it reboot
- again menu - stb status - factory value
- again load the firmware from usb, have it reboot
- menu - stb status - factory value
- load your database from usb

This "loading twice" should normally do it, sometimes old settings seem to stay in place and foul up things. (at least: several others were helped out by following this procedure)
