Hi People,
Does anybody know when the new tuners will be available, and also when the firmware to support 2x S2 tuners will be coming ?

Thanks

Hi I see that a company in Eire has them listed however I will wait for Lee from our sponsers to get them in stock, I asked him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would put it on his website when they are in stock.

BTW. the firmware does not support two tuners yet, but should be out soon AKAIK.

Regards, Welshman.

None in stock.

I think the retailers have been given the cost price of the units and they are updating their websites in anticipation of reciept of the Tuners.

Hi People, I have now seen a German website showing availability on 15.6.09 so the new tuners must be nearly ready !

I already have 2x S2 tuners installed in my premium , bought from germany store, but they don't work because firmware doesn't support them yet.

Hi
i'm just scrapping together the cash to buy a premium version, but being a total novice - would somebody please explain why we need additional DVB tuners, and what is the difference / benefit between the three available?

thanks
Tommie

PVR functionality, so you can watch one channel whist recording another.

The different varients allow for this function over 3 different delivery platforms.

DVB-S/S2 - Satellite
DVB-C - Cable
DVB-T - Over the air Terrestrial

Hope this helps.

Yes, its the box thats has the MPEG4 decoding. The card is DVB-T but the combination of the 2 allows your MPEG4 Terrestrial transmissions in Norway to be received on the AZbox (when they finally release the tuners!!!). We in Ireland are also MPEG4 DVB-T and I expect the AZBox to be huge here once we get the DVB-T cards and a 7day UK EPG.

The firmware needed for Norway has not yet been released I understand from the release notes of v0.9.2032.

The part highlighted is required for the DVB-T H264 Audio.

--------------------------------- SOME CONSIDERATIONS:---------------------------------------------
1) We have planned with this release launch fixes for RGB, 4.2.2. HD contents, HE-AAC audio, however for this we need switch completely SIGMA driver, at moment we need some more time to test this new driver carefully.
We are very hard to make it work correctly on next days.

oh. Now I understand. the DVB-T/S/C Tuner's are just like plug and play, like in the DM800.
I thougt it was just a pci card that I inserted in the pc, instal sw, and it became a reciver for tv.emu, and shares... mm. well well... have to look further :)
I'm looking for a cable and a terristial pci card with "opportunitys"
