On my TM6800 HD I can receive all channels on 9E (Eurobird 9) perfectly. However there is one particular transponder (11881.00 V) which I cannot lock. On this trasponder there is FTV HD (which is also available on another transponder -11919.00 V- that I can lock). Can anyone check if he/she has the same problem with a TM-6000 series receiver? People in my area confirm that 11881V is perfectly visible with HD Dreamboxes, so I am suspecting that this is a problem with the TM.

Same problem here,TM-6900 Super,I get only sound,no picture on FTV-HD,although everything was OK the first 2-3 days this transmission started on freq.11881V,so I assume it's a transmission matter, not a receiver one.

Getting BOTH the FTV HD channels ok - picture AND sound, on the frequencies quoted - on my TM6900HD, as I type!:respect-050:

Thanks guys for the feedback. At least I now know its not a receiver problem. I am sure that I have the correct parameters (from KoS) so I have to keep on trying to identify the source of the problem.

This might sound stupid but try saving your channel list to a USB stick, then do a factory reset on the box, then reload your channel list.

If that fails, try deleting all channels from that transponder and re scan it.

It's OK on my 6800HD. Have you put the correct DVB-S2 parameters in? ie 8PSK 2/3 and pilot on? Bit of a pain that it can't scan a S2 channel without the extra info.

Thanks PMB :respect-059: Using Clark Tech Editor I ticked the Pilot option on that transponder and the signal quality jumped from 2% to 77%. Now FTV on 11881V is perfectly visible! :respect-048:

So at this point, my question is: from a technical point of view what's the difference between Pilot on and off ?

Odd that Tophouse as it disappears when I select pilot off , perhaps the 6900 combo super behaves differently to a 6800 but I don't understand why.

Maybe it is LNB related.

I googled the keywords DVB-S2 and pilot and found the following:

"Pilot tones detection for low data rates and LNB' switch a bad phase noise (in 8PSK or higher)"

Maybe the lnbs which are marketed as HD LNBs have some function to cater for this?

Dunno, mine is just a standard triax LNB I think
