Tried all diferent ways in the menu but cannot lock onto any channels on 10d E , When i do a search the green indicator line just keeps going and going and does not seam to go anywhere, ive put the right frequency in but now i have not got a clue what to do also when i move the dish from one satellite to another the green indicator goes right round indicating the strongest signal then it drops down a little ive tried inching it round a little but when i store the new position and move the dish to another satellite and back it goes to how it was before, any help would be welcomed.thanks baz.:frown:

What size dish are you using?

with 9E & 10E being so close try tuning to some of the stronger 10E signals at 9E eg:

MGM @ 12611H S/R 9260 FEC 5/6 [10E]

it does have a lot of feeds, split transponders, with low symbol rates so it can be a pain to get decent signal even with a 1.2m NW England. 9E however C-Music, TRACE Tropical come in with loads of signal strength......

Have to agree Baz the software is a nightmare compared to my old 5500CI. It moves to the sat but only to the last channel you watched on there. If it was a feed that is no longer there then it keeps going round with the green semicircle. I think you (and me) have to have a strong signal stored for each satellite so we know it has moved there. I have also found some of the stored positions have moved and have had to tweak the stored positions.

Thanks EMPB, im using an 88cm dish and untill recently i could get UP4 channel on 10d E then for some reason i deleated it and did a fresh scan but now i cannot get the satelite at all after putting in the frequency. will try what you said about 9dg E and take it from there.

A quick tip, in the menu, go to motor control, set the sat to the nearest bird you have to the one you want, then select "go to" let the motor move to that sat, next, go to the top again and set sat to the one you want, now go to motor control and just nudge the motor over a little, but i count ROUGHLY one quick press on the remote to one degree and I'm usually somewhere near. Next, save setting, if you don't see a signal then click through the TP's until you do. This always works for me.

I have found out that the TM 6800 is not very good in locking certain transponders. I have already posted an issue with 9E (related to transponders with HD channels) but which I solved thanks to the reply of pbm.

Nevertheless, I have found that I have similar problems with some non-HD transponders, those which are SC-PC with a very low SR. A case in point is Eurotic TV on 10E : 11187.00 V - 1628 5/6. I cannot lock this transponder with my TM 6800 but then if I use either my Humax 5400 or my TM 9100 with the same setup (same dish, lnb, etc...) I can lock it without problems.

So to answer baztheblade: Try to lock 10E using different transponders
