Hi m8s,

After many years of loyalty my hummy has gone dead. At the beginning it started with automatically turning on and off (power) and now it is dead. When I turn on the switch on the back I don't get any dots on the front LCD panel. I just get the "click" noise from the recevier and the TV can register at signal from the receiver but I have only snow on the screen.
Do you think it is due to the power supply which is dead? An solutions?

Thanx

That is a classic sign of power supply failure.
May be time for a new receiver?
You may be able to get a refurb psu off the well known auction site,or get a psu repair kit if you can do it yourself.

Humax power supply is repairable mate if you know a bit of soldering. There are few capacitors at the secondary section of the power supply board which needs changing and they costs no more than 5 quids or you can ask somebody who knows a bit of electronics to change them for you. Humax receivers are very solid boxes and they don't die easily. Good luck
