Hi I may have come across another bug. At the weekend I installed a new HDD to my premium box. All was working fine until today. Now I read some people having a problem saying they could only record a certain amount of programs before the box said the HDD was full. Anyhow this didn't cause an issue or at least appear to. I recorded about 10 small clips. I then deleted the recordings and went back to TV. Then I couldn't change the channel. The now and next came up for the next channel but it did not switch. Re- booted, still the same. Thought maybe the channel list had got corrupted some how so re scanned a transponder. Went to TV and only had the channels i'd just scanned. Pressed channel up, it can up with some error message saying I had to re boot. Anyhow after a number or reflashed, formatting the application area, I was about to give up and then thought that maybe I hadn't installed the HDD properly so open up the box and disconnected the HDD then when I switched the box back on it was ok again. re attached HDD same problem again. disconnected the data cable and was ok again. I'm reformatting the HDD now just to see if it makes any difference.

FYI I was running firmware 2032 when the problem occured. My hdd is a western digital 1tb drive.

I'll let you know how I get on. I'm off to bed!

I just lost HRT-2, for no apparent reason...:ack2:

Changed HRT-PLUS into HRT-3 and after a day or two - can't get it.

Transponder scan gets it but it ain't on the list [general or HB]!:confused:

Bloody hell!!! Now what?!?:willy_nilly::frown:

after formatting the drive the box seems to be acting normal again.

I didn't notice this before so not sure if it's something new but on the lcd display on the left hand side there is a little symbol appearing next to the channel name. It kind of looks like a box on top of a line which is on top of two boxes. Has anyone else seen this?

Also when formatting the 1tb drive with the box it says i'm using 15GB even though there's noting on it, where does this go? I've seen screenshots of others and theirs is saying 0 GB used.

That means you are connected to a network.

check the requirements of the harddisc format, if this is FAT32 format, maybe the AZBox cannot handle this size correctly?
If this is the case (fat32), try formating the HD on your computer (windows) with this:
https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=111179
first is dos command line, second windows GUI. If you don't have windows on computer, ask a linx user

Reformat in AZBox. It will use EXT format which is native to AZBox.

would this mean the partition has to be removed before formating on the box?

FAT part. will b aut. removed and ext/linux part. will be created . All data will b lost , so better backup/save if anything useful on HDD .

Cheers ,
Val .
