UDF 2.5 Driver on Enigma2 - How?

I have some discs in this format I want to read on my DM800/8000.

However, standard linux does not support this version of the filesystem.

There is a patch available for linux, but does anyone with a greater knowledge of linux than myself know how to install this on enigma2?

If what you propose is possible, then would it mean we might be able to play raw HD-DVD files?, as they also use the UDF 2.5 driver when installing an XBOX 360 HD-DVD addon for use with a PC.
