TiVo like functionality possible?

Just a question really but do you think it'll be possible to get a TiVo style functionality on the azbox? Obviously firstly the 7 day epg would have to be implemented first, however considering that there already is an epg search built into the azbox, and there is a plugin system, I was wondering if a clever programmer would be able to write a plugin where you could add a name of a programme and it would automatically record all the episodes that come up? For example I could add 'simpsons' and then the azbox would automatically record every episode that pops up on the epg. possible? I think it's be quite a good function, what do people think?

The information that DJBlu passed onto Opensat about getting the Freesat EPG and the Sky EPG also contained information about how to utilise Sky's 'Series Link', I am really hoping this will be implemented (and soon!)

But I like the Tivo idea too, perhaps it would be possible to develop something, I'm sure a more knowledgeable person than I would be able to shed some light on this...

Yeah, unfortunatly as I lack any kind of programming skill or knowledge I thought it would be best if I posted my thoughts on here in case in inspired someone to write a "tivo" plugin.

The ability to series link episodes, along with being able to record episodes that might appear on other channels (i.e. family guy in the UK comes up on BBC 3 quite often, but also other channels from time to time) would be a very useful plugin IMO:respect-001:

I would doubt that it could be converted to work on the AZBox, but thought id link to it to see if it gave anyone ideas :cheers2:!
