Added support for the Azbox STB and devices on the Sigma MIPS platform. (PS! NO Sci support.. yet)
ALOT of PC/SC fixes, prefer these devices with the ccid driver over phoenixes.
Misc. phoenix fixes.
HTB+ Viaccess fix.
Added support for the new viasat cards (we think, no feedback on tests).

You _HAVE_ to use boxkey manually on certain NDS cards now.

That means, that You cannot use in this version internal card reader, but you can use infinity usb proggy :)

no need to help, internal Cardreader NOT work with this Versions.
You need Infinity Reader or external Phoenixreader on usb2serial or Smargo with FTDI Support(you know how to config on PC)

Just a note to say that the new version of NewCS released yesterday (thanks NeotionBox!) solved the problem. Now it inits NDS2 cards regularly using the internal card reader.

Just the standard config files included in the old mgcamd & newcs, with the new binaries and it works.

No freezes at all, except sometimes when you open some menu.
Very stable combination overall, I'm satisfied.

Following PR2's advice, I just added
api = yes
wait = 15

in mgcamd's openxcas.conf

That's the only "non-standard" setting I use. :smash:

@Goran, this new Version is from real Author without Support for internal Reader, its a real 1.67

for to clear:
Infinity has two Modi as I understand, normal Mode for USB and Driverpackage which is missing for AZHD and Phoenixmode for Driver which are included in AZHD (FTDI)
Its the same like Smargo I think.

I have tried something with Infinity unlimited to get it running, but no Chance.
NewCS dont find my USB Device.
USB2serial is working fine with another normal serial Reader.

I have found a Way for running newcs.sigma.usb, but my Reader wont be recogniced (USB Unlimited)

This means that your USB device is detected but is set to the wrong type because Azbox HD don't have the driver.

I think that Azbox HD has not yet the Smargo drivers installed so you get this kind of message.

You can test:



dmesg | grep FTDI


And on a Linux system where the smargo is properly recognise you should have something like:

I am getting very confused of these newcs releases for Azbox..

In the Azbox HD Key Files section we have ONLY newcs dated 24.05
I also managed to gather newcs dated 23.03 and 06.03. No idea which versions they are...
The use of various addons download servers makes the situation even more complex as people don't use version numbering or not all newcs versions can be found there... On one server there is even newcs 1.20 RC13 (what the hell is that ??)

In the changelog of this newcs 1.67 RC1 there is evidence that these versions exist:

etc!

Which from the above are usable with Azbox and its internal reader ?

For AzBox HD there are only 2 versions... old 1.20RC13 (somehow posted as being 1.6x) it is the only version working with internal cardreader. There are 2 updates to this release. Just grab latest binary and ftp to update.

And new 1.67RC1 (just released, without internal cardreader support, only USB2Serial).

You can choose between those two options... forget all the others you list.

And if you are looking for internal you need 1.20RC13 download from OpenXCAS and update binary with latest posted here (use FTP and check for 755). You will see it advertised as 1.65 if I remember it right (but it is 1.20RC13).

FTDI is build in, but not USBcore.ko
I think, this Infinity Unlimited USB is not working with FTDI or the Implementation from build in FTDI is not correct.

equal if or if not, I use still the "old" Version, which works like a Charme with internal Reader and my Card.

Problem is, my Unlimited dont use FTDI, it uses the real usbcore.

The Infinity Smart is a new one with virtual VCP for Linux:

So this one is running with FTDI.
Ill try the .ko Package usbcore but insmod doesnt help, dont accept this Driver.

So for all Infinity we must wait for a new Firmware with build in REAL Drivers for this Kind of Readers, then no ftdi needed and we can use newcs.sigma.usb if I understand right

thanks, but this Lib I have and allready tested(also I have posted the Link for it, because first finding out by me :):) )., no need to reboot for, you can copy in libs, it works directly.
BUT the .sigma.usb wont recognice my unlimited, its still an USB Device.
Also this lib has nothing to do with the virtual Comportmode.
We need this for serial2usb device running or implemented the correct Drivers for unlimited in Firmware.

Yes of course, Smargo in FTDI Mode!
It works three or four Firmware bevor.

It works like any usb2serial like bevor or Programmer which have a VCP or FTDI Mode, also usb2serial with PL 2303.

NDS3 UK must work, when it is a real binary from Author, because it works also on other Plattforms with 1.66.


But I dont understand one Point, why works this "****ty old Fake 1.20RC13" (NOT MY WORDS, I love this Version :) ) with internal Cardreader and "real" Authors cant implement it?

I also try to have my Infinity Unlimited working on the Azbox without success.

So no Smargo smartreader+, no infinity unlimited... or I missed something...

Yeah, its a good Sign, of course.

And you dont miss anything, it doesnt work.
But in early Morning some has provided IPKG Manager working for AZHD.
Maybe there are some Packages out for to get this Cardreaders working.


If someone can compile this ( http://www.infinityusb.com/default.a...&DownloadID=39 ) as ipk, maybe we can use with Smargo+ and unlimited as usb2serial ( /dev/tts/USBX ).

Maybe there is also a ipk Package out for real USBcore for this Reader, dont know.
IPKG Manager can be found in german Forum.
