7020 to 8000?

New toy on the way and I am wondering if by any chance the DCC saved sat positions and bouquet settings off the 7020 will migrate to the 8000?

DCC wont do it but dreamset will.

just copy over your 7020 settings to your pc and select save as enigma2 ver3 and the settings file will be saved as lamedb ready to send over to your 8000 when you get it.
i recently copied over my settings from my 7020 for doubleudee on here,converted them to E2 for him and uploaded them for him to use in his 8000 in the 8000section,so i know first hand that it works.ian.

Will the remotes work as well as I have a spare 7020 which I use in another room with a remote sender to change things?

well the remote from my 7020 works fine on my 800 so I would think your OK

Well the, (can't call it little toy) has arrived and the remote for the 8000 does not switch on the 7020. I will see about the other way this w/end when I set the big mother up.

The 7020 remote on the 8K works partially with most major on/off and general commands OK.

Some menu type commands don't work.
