box add on's

having read several info reports on the box and settings, i still can't put add on's into the box, the plug in side is ok, no problem, but adding add on's just isn't working for me, i'm trying to put the " softcam updater" add on to the box. can somebody give easy detailed info on how to do it by using filezilla ?
